Gifu College of Nursing focuses on the study of nursing science, which sustains the nursing profession including public health nurses, nurse-midwives, and nurse generalists. Basic nursing is taught at the baccalaureate program. Upon their graduation, the students receive a degree of Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Furthermore, the graduates of the college are eligible to take the national licensure examinations for registered nurses and public health nurses. On the completion of additional optional courses, the graduates are eligible for licensure as a school nurse and qualify to take the national licensure examination to be a nurse-midwife.
